Welcome to Learn
UC Student Web is changing this weekend
UC Student Web will become myUC on Monday 1 September. We are making changes to UC Student Web to make it easier for most students to enrol online. So, between 5pm, Friday 29 August and 8am, Monday 1 September, you won’t be able to log into UC Student Web. You will however still be able to log into Learn.
If you need to add funds to your Canterbury Card (IT account) using UC Student Web, please do so before 4pm this Friday 29 August. Current balances can be viewed online via My IT Account. Reload stations on campus can still be used over the weekend. You can view full details here.
Students - need help?
Check out the Learn - Help for Students course for advice.
Feeling stressed about assessment? Remember to click on the UC Skills button (to the right) for lots of online academic skills help.
There are two different methods for lecture recording currently in use at UC: Echo Lecture Capture and manual recording. Information about how to access and use the Echo 360 lecture recordings can be found in this Student Guide to Echo Recordings. Information about the manually recorded lectures that use QuickTime can be found on the Learn Student Help page.
Adding Course Materials
The add “Course Materials” (formerly called “Course Reading”) feature in Learn has been updated. When you upload a PDF file you will be asked for bibliographic information for copyright purposes. Don’t forget to link to PDF files from Library electronic resources, rather than downloading them.
You will find further help by:
- Reading our Help document
- Attending a workshop
- Logging a support request via Assyst
